On Thursday, August 31 at 9 am People’s Plaza at Canaman CamSur, Tabang Bikol Movement (TBM) & OrganiKo Bikolano with MSWD/DSWD Region 5 and LGU-Canaman successfully coordinated a Program for “TARABANGAN SA KAHARONGAN”. Shelter Assistance/ Yero Pako and organizing of People’s Organization of Disaster Survivors(PODIS) in 21 barangays of Canaman. The PODIS in the 21 barangays composed mostly of farming families are the focus groups of farmers who shall be the primary participants in education & training towards developing an Agri-based Back to Nature for Food & Health industry in the region with the support of the Department of Agriculture Region 5.
Tabang Bikol Movement advocacy of “Back to Nature & Recovering from Disaster”: Backyard to Table and Industry will be pursued towards establishing a Food & Health Tourism Corridor in Camarines Sur. In order to ensure for the organization of PODIS (People’s Organization of Disaster’s Survivors) to every 23 remaining Barangays in the Municipality of Canaman, Tabang Bikol Movement will conduct an activity” Tabang Agrikultura tungo sa Industriya”. Guests who joined us here were: Mr. Jun Ingles, formulator of Volca-Nature Esense and also TBM Board Member, Dra. Susan Balingit and a surprise appearance of Archbishop Tirona to give the Blessings. Other guests were from Representatives from DA and Liga ng mga Kapitan in Canaman. It was held last August 11, 2017, 9 am together with the activity “Agri Fair” led by MAENRO Canaman in relation to the celebration for the upcoming Municipal Fiesta. This is in cooperation with Canaman LGU, MSWD, CSO’s and MAENRO that will help in distributing varieties for initial planting and start the Organic Backyard Gardening for every PODIS member as primarily the source for Esense raw materials production.
